Thanks Terrill, No parades for Canadian Thanksgiving Day, that really sucks. Glad they carry coverage of ours for you though. I spent the day in seclusion with my animals this year, but did watch the parade. I used to think the only way to watch a parade was from the street side, but after seeing that balloon crash into the light pole and nail those spectators when the ball dropped, think I will stick to watching on TV now. I think I'm too old to jump over crowds like I could as a teenager at a concert. I would be one wearing a mercury vapor lamp as a hat now This year though, I did make a "traditional" U.S. Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, dressing, green bean casserole, whipped potatoes , baked fish and a fruit cocktail dumpling for dessert. Only I did it 'bachelor style" in the microwave , layered like a lasagna. I liked it, got no complaints from my fur kids and my house had the smell of Turkey Day. Best part was it only took about 90 minutes to prepare and cost less than $7 U.S. to make.. I will copy the recipe here in the Patio Lounge if anyone is interested in trying it.
