I've often thought about what it would be like to eat worm. How do you go about preparing the worms before cooking?

I grain em out on masa cornmeal with lime for a week or so as I do my bait worms, then submerge the worms in clean rinse water to flush their intestinal tract of wastes, then rinse again two more times. The water flush technique is what is included in the U.S. Army survival manual FM 21-76. A civillian version of the manual describing the cleaning can be found here. outdoors-magazine.com/s_topic.php?id_rubrique=25

Some of my friends think its gross that I use worms as a meat substitute, yet some of them eat anchovies, crawdads, snails in garlic butter and such.
Plus we all eat fish and chicken and that is eating worms just one level removed.
