As a cost reduction for bait raisers just starting out and maybe only supplying to neighbors and close acquaintances how about the "21st century version of the tin can of bait"?
Use the 20 ounce drink bottles with the smaller label area ( Pepsi, Mountain Dew and Sunkist come in this style bottle around here).
Cut the top off the bottle along the top of the label.
fill the bottle with mulch pack and the bait and place the larger diameter top to contain the worms.
At the seam where the lid meets the label tape them together with a tape "fold over rip strip to easily unwrap the box tape lid seal.
The bottle cap can be loosened to provide aeration with a few side pinholes.
To make the modified soda bottle bait cup more appealing to customers of your small , yet growing bait business, offer it for a quarter or so less than competitors.
Of course get family and friends to save all their "corseted waist" soda bottles for the "weird one farming worms."
;D
