While reading on another forum, I found this site. Since the forum where I saw it has been having troubles I thought I would bring it here so we can have a classroom type discussion on it. For what it is worth, that's the elementary school that I went to. Of course, it was called "Emma Conn Gifted + Talented Magnet School" when I went there. Why, oh why, did they have to change the name?

HA! I am Susan Quinby-Honer and wrote/received the grant for that project. Part of the grant was to show other schools/businesses how to replicate the program and so I created that website. I would love feedback from anyone. as I will still be updating it and trying to make it better.
theinfamousj...I have been a parent at Conn for 13 years..(not with the same child, thank goodness). It has changed names 3 times and had 3 theme changes. That's just what Magnet schools do to try to keep their "magnet" status, I suppose.

We dropped in well beneath the "6 degrees of separation" big time on this thread .  Susan, Good to know you had a hand in the program there. Hope you dn't mind my reviewing to get some ideas to offer our students here. |
