Well im not happy it is snowing and my worms are not winterized. I spent yesterday piling leaves on the wind rows that had not been fed yet or this week. I had to go get them as the loads of leaves have not arrived as promised. So spent the day getting bags of leaves and grass.
today i got a invertor a large solar panel and special battery . Will be testing it in the next couple of weeks to see if it will with stand our cold winter
Tomorrow m building bins in the trailer by friday the snow is to be gone and nice again. But at least i will be ready
But snow to stay is cominng soon and im just working against time.
I got 4- 12 ft long by 4 ft wide inground windrows done 2.5 ft deep below frost line. Will fill them on the weekend
Will take the rest back to the country and go condo with them. Lol
Was going to take a load of worms out to my indoor place but the roads are closed with the wind and snow coming up to 20 cm snow tonight.

20 cm is about 8 inches isn't it? Around here, 4 ice cubes dropped on a bridge will shut us down for 3 days At least you can keep your seed bins up. Don't overwork yourself too hard though.

Around here, 4 ice cubes dropped on a bridge will shut us down for 3 days Rednecks and icy roads don't mix. We tend to git ignernt when those roads get slippery. But then we only see that once every few years... ;D

update on trying to get my worms moved and winterized. Im still working like crazy and still have 2.5 windrows to move. the weather is holding which is amazing after the first scare of snowfall we had. we are having wonderful weather right now. I am so out of room. I have filled my inside space to the brim , im bringing them in my house again. Putting them at a friends house and still dont have enough room. I really dont know where to put them. Going to try a third level at my indoor space . Will take some pictures on the weekend so everyone can get a good laugh at my worm condo. Im up to over 3,000 lbs of food waste plus my leaves and grass per week and dont have enough food so cheating and feeding grain to the others who miss out on the food waste. I have permission to take pictures of my bottle workshop on friday but have to cut the kids heads out. I have 65 students for that workshop and tomorrow im setting up a 100 student lunch program which I hope they will let me take some pictures of.
