I found four dead worms in one bin covered with white mites.I have heard of red mites eating worms but not white.First I thought they were eggs but they begin to move real slow not like the brown or springtails.

If the worms were already dead they would be available feed for any of the organisms hosted in the bin that feed off of decay.
Red mites are a parasite that feed off live worms that are generally ill.
The white mites may have found the worms before they dried up after death.

Does anyone have a site where I can see a picture of red mites. I don't think there are any in my bin after I did the test with the bread but I really don't even know what they look like. -
