I store my castings in poly feed sacks stacked the castings become compressed and clump.Should they be rotated and broken up to allow for air?and can you store castings in mounds? John

I air dry my castings after harvesting and bag them in breathable feed sacks, unused bed totes and paper bags or pin holed gallon freezer bags for smaller quantities to reduce anerobic activity after bagging.
I just stack them along the walls of my sunroom as insulation until use.
